A Green Earth, a better earth

“Only 20 years ago!”  This beautiful grove of Teak trees was planted in 2001 by a member of the Friends of the Trees in Idomaland in Benue State Nigeria. The Friends were a group of young people who came together to research the trees of Idoma, learn about their value from their elders and proudly publish their findings.  There are several  such groves planted by them.  Teak (Tectonis Grandis) is a fast-growing tree of hard wood suitable for building and furniture.
