The sisters of the Gwagwalada Community—Scholastica Nwokike, Augustina Akaeze, Chidubem Okere and Busingye Aurelia—received the visitors with great joy and gratitude. Their time together created space for honest conversation about the joys, challenges and hopes that come with living and serving together.

Listening and Sharing

A community sharing session gave each sister an opportunity to speak about her experience of religious life and ministry. The sisters shared their achievements and challenges, as well as their hopes for the future.
Sr. Ndidi and Sr. Ruth listened attentively and offered encouragement and guidance. They highlighted the importance of prayer, unity, mutual support and a continued commitment to service.
The visit also provided an opportunity to look at the welfare and wellbeing of the sisters and to reflect on how community life can continue to support them in their vocation and mission.

Visiting Holy Rosary Girls College

The visitors also spent time with the students, encouraging them to work towards excellence in their studies, develop strong moral values and grow into responsible members of society. The students warmly welcomed the visitors and appreciated the opportunity to interact with them.
The visit also provided an opportunity to reflect on the sustainability of the school’s apostolate, staff welfare, student development and infrastructure needs, as well as the wider impact of the congregation’s presence in the area.

Strengthening Mission Through Accompaniment

The visit was more than an opportunity to review the community’s ministry. It was also a time of accompaniment, encouragement and renewed connection.
For the Gwagwalada sisters, the presence of members of the Congregational Leadership Team was a reminder that they are not alone in their work. Listening to one another, sharing experiences and facing challenges together strengthen the bonds that hold the congregation together.
